Santa Monica and New Salad Dressing

Simple, short post today.

Yesterday I went to Santa Monica with a friend new to LA because he needed to see the ocean, even though it was cold!

Today I spent hours doing laundry (seriously), finally talked to my mom, called Time Warner cable to fix our internet (blahh), watched Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior, and went to a free panel at SAG about agents and managers.

For dinner, I had a nice salad of spinach, mixed greens, cucumber, carrot, celery, green onion, a big tomato, red pepper, and some of this new dressing:

It was OK. I just bought it because they didn't have the balsamic dressing I like.

I have an audition tomorrow and I'm going to cook up that big eggplant I bought at the farmers market.

  1. I always think raspberry vinaigrette will be tasty, too, and then it always disappoints me. Maybe there should be a blueberry version instead. Sounds better, actually. And please tell me what you think about the Mad Max movies; I've never seen them. Thought they might be a little too rough for me.

  2. I agree. I have seen homemade blueberry vinaigrette that just involves blending blueberries and balsamic vinegar and I've been meaning to try that. I tend to like my homemade dressings better, anyway.

You can probably live without seeing the Mad Max movies. I think your instincts are right on that one.

  3. That salad is beautiful. Yum! Hope you get the part :-)

  4. Thank you! It definitely went well and felt good, and that's what matters the most - that I enjoy what I do every day. But of course if I get the part I will do a happy dance.
